5. Seattle Seahawks (5) – Play Monday Night vs. 49ers

Back in the offseason, the Seattle Seahawks seemed to be the one team that could give the Los Angeles Rams a run for their money in the NFC West race.

And while the Seahawks have managed to build a lead over their division rivals in the standings, Seattle still trails the San Francisco 49ers in regards to first place.

Depending on how things play out over the next two months, there’s a good chance the Seahawks will be in great position for one of the Wild Card spots in the NFC, but also there’s still plenty of time to move ahead of the 49ers in the standings.

The best approach Seattle can take at this point is focus on one game at a time to trim down San Francisco’s lead in the standings, and if the Seahawks can find a way to hand the 49ers their first loss of the year on Monday, this will be huge for the rest of the NFC.

All season, San Francisco has made a strong case for deserving to be the team to beat in the NFC, but even they know there’s still plenty of work to do.

Russell Wilson loves playing in these kinds of contests, and with the entire country watching on Monday, the Seahawks star could be in for another one of his big games.
