Stud: Ben Watson

With the Patriots looking for another option to go alongside Julian Edelman in the passing game throughout the matchup in Philadelphia, Ben Watson stepped up big when New England called upon him en route to the win. The tight end ended up with a total of three catches on four overall targets, hauling in 52 yards through the air. Watson also recorded a game-long reception of 22 yards in the game.

Moving forward for the rest of the season, Watson getting involved in the offense and within the passing game behind quarterback Tom Brady could provide yet another option for New England and yet another headache for opposing defenses.

Dud: Getting off to a slow start

The Patriots got off to a slower start on the road in the Week 9 loss to the Baltimore Ravens and that slow start ultimately resulted in New England falling for the first time this season while not being able to overcome that early deficit.

On Sunday evening against Philadelphia, however, that ultimately wasn’t the same result and New England was able to recover and overcome the early deficit to come back and take the game on the road, but it was clearly an issue for the second straight week in Week 11.

The Eagles were able to score 10 unanswered points in the first half to start the game against the Patriots, but New England narrowed the game to a one-point game right before halftime and ended up grabbing the lead in the second half en route to the win. The Patriots will need to keep working on trying to limit opposing teams getting off to a quick start moving forward, an area they have been relatively strong prior to a few weeks ago.
