3. Mohamed Sanu

Since Mohamed Sanu was acquired by the Patriots from the Atlanta Falcons around the NFL Trade Deadline earlier this year, the wide receiver has still been working towards getting acclimated and comfortable within the New England offense.

In three games with the Patriots going into this weekend, Sanu has tallied a total of 14 receptions and 108 yards through the air for his new squad, averaging 7.7 yards per catch while hauling in one touchdown reception up to this point.

In his first seven games with the Falcons to start off the 2019 campaign, Sanu recorded a total of 313 yards receiving on 33 receptions along with one receiving touchdown.

The wide receiver broke out for his best performance in a Patriots uniform during the loss on the road against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 9, tallying 81 yards receiving on 10 receptions and adding one touchdown in the game.

Outside of that performance, however, Sanu has struggled to some extent while trying to create a role for himself in New England. In last week’s victory on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles, for example, Sanu finished that contest with just two catches for a total of four yards.

If the Patriots want to continue to take their offense to the next level and want to try and add another weapon within the wide receiving corps to accompany wideout Julian Edelman, Sanu might be an option New England looks towards for a remainder of the year.

On Sunday against Dallas, Sanu might have to step up and have a bounce-back performance to try and help New England come out on top for the second week in a row in front of its home fans in Foxborough.
