Philadelphia Eagles (5-6) at Miami Dolphins (2-9)

Sunday, December 1, 1PM ET

As crazy as it seems, the Philadelphia Eagles are still hot in the hunt for the NFC East crown. Despite being 5-6, they’re only a game out of first place as the losses continue to pile up for both them and the Cowboys. A win in Week 13 would certainly help their cause.

As it so happens, that’s a likely outcome with the Miami Dolphins on the docket. Even on the road, the Eagles are heavy favorites to take down a team that at one point looked like they were destined to go 0-16. And yet, some would say this has all the makings of a trap game.

The Dolphins haven’t been awful in recent weeks, and even had a win streak going not long ago. Ryan Fitzpatrick can get going at times, and the defense has shown a tendency to capitalize on mistakes. With that said, I find it hard to imagine them upending a Philadelphia team with determined to get back on track before the playoffs become too far out of reach.

Carson Wentz will get his act together and spark this Eagles offense. Meanwhile, the Philadelphia defense will do its part, creating a couple of turnovers and keeping the Dolphins offense in check. They still need help, but this Eagles win keeps them in the race for now.

Prediction: Eagles win 21-13
