Los Angeles Chargers (4-7) at Denver Broncos (3-8)

Sunday, December 1, 4:25PM ET

I know, Los Angeles Chargers and Denver Broncos fans. The season is almost over — the pain and suffering is nearly at an end. Both of these teams came into the year with above average expectations, but neither has managed to do much besides disappoint.

The Chargers are watching the rather abrupt deterioration of Philip Rivers’ skills. The veteran gunslinger has turned into a turnover machine this year, which has cost Los Angeles more than its fair share of games. With that said, the Chargers do still boast an exceptional defense and plenty of playmakers on the offensive end.

As for the Broncos, it’s been a similar situation. A lack of quality quarterback play has haunted them all year long, despite the best efforts of their defense. With that said, they offer even less talent under center, and less options out wide to make plays for their underwhelming options at quarterback.

That’s why I’m picking the Chargers to come away with the W in this one. They’ve failed to live up to their potential this season, but a victory to begin December should help them keep fans interested as they finalize their move to Los Angeles during the offseason.

Prediction: Chargers win 16-9
