2019 NFL picks, score predictions for Week 14

Tennessee Titans (7-5) at Oakland Raiders (6-6)

Who would have guessed a few weeks ago that this would be such a crucial game in determining the AFC playoff picture? Both of these teams are still in the hunt, but need wins if they have any hope of securing a Wild Card spot. Unfortunately, only one team can get the W on Sunday.

Based on what we’ve seen in recent weeks, I can’t in good conscience pick the Oakland Raiders. So I’m rolling with the Tennessee Titans to extend their winning streak to three games with another much-needed victory against a suddenly subpar Raiders squad.

Honestly, subpar is probably putting it lightly. Over the last two weeks, the Raiders have been outscored 74-12. After putting together a midseason winning streak of their own, they’ve tanked down the stretch. The offense has been awful, and the defense is struggling to slow anything down. Derek Carr is slumping, and Jon Gruden can only look on in horror.

It bodes well for the Titans, who have a lot of momentum as the postseason comes within view. Ryan Tannehill has been a revelation for Tennessee, and the defense is doing its thing as well. As long as the Titans don’t leave half of their starters at the airport, they’ll get the win in Week 14.

Prediction: Titans win 40-21
