11. Elliott rushed for more than 100 yards first time since Week 9

Workhorse always seems to be the best way to describe Ezekiel Elliott as a running back for the Dallas Cowboys, but it has been surprising to see the Ohio State product struggle in recent weeks.

Even if Elliott’s numbers against the Buffalo Bills (71 rushing yards on 12 carries) on Thanksgiving Day aren’t exactly the worst numbers in the world, the Cowboys didn’t run the football as much as they normally would since Dallas was playing catch up for the most part.

What has been even more surprising is over the last four games, in which Dallas has lost three times, Elliott has failed to break the 100-yard rushing mark each time.

With the Cowboys hitting the road for Week 14 in what should be another difficult battle against a Chicago Bears team looking to finish 2019 on a high note to have a fighting shot at the playoffs, Elliott will need to pound the football as much as possible.

The Bears’ defense has proven to be one of the top units in the league over the last couple of years, but if Elliott can wear them down like other opponents already have over the last few months, it will put the Cowboys in better position to win.
