Los Angeles Rams (8-5) at Dallas Cowboys (6-7)

Sunday, December 15, 4:25PM ET

Are the Los Angeles Rams back? It’s unclear at this point, but they have looked good the last couple of weekends. In fact, we’re starting to see glimpses of what got them to the Super Bowl last season, especially during their Week 14 shellacking of the Seahawks.

Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys are going backwards. Despite still holding the division lead (man, the NFC East sucks this year), they’ve been dismal over the second half of the season. Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott are racking up yards, but the touchdowns aren’t coming often enough to make up for the lackluster effort the defense is giving.

That’s why I see the Rams extending their win streak to three on Sunday afternoon. Jared Goff continues his solid December showing, while Todd Gurley continues to ramp back up what made him such a nightmare for defenses last year. Oh, and the Los Angeles defense does its job, keeping Prescott and Elliott from making this a shootout.

At this pace, we could easily see a sub-.500 team winning the NFC East. That’s pathetic, but it’s not like whoever wins will pose much of a threat in the postseason. As for the Rams, they keep themselves alive in the race for the final NFC Wild Card spot.

Prediction: Rams win 34-26
