Stud: Dual-threat at running back

For really the first time all season long, two different running backs were able to put together strong performances in the same contest for Atlanta, which was a good sign throughout the victory at home in the second-to-last regular-season game.

The Falcons finished with a total of 135 rushing on the ground with 27 carries and two touchdowns.

Leading the rushing attack for Atlanta was Devonta Freeman with a team-high 13 carries for 53 yards and one touchdown, but the Falcons also had a nice performance from Brian Hill with seven carries for a team-best 66 yards out of the backfield.

Dud: Giving up chunk yardage through the air

In the loss on the road, the Jaguars managed to tally 188 yards on 14 catches in the passing attack, also recording one touchdown through the air in the game.

Leading the way for Jacksonville was wide receiver Chris Conley, who had just two catches but hauled in a team-best 56 yards and one touchdown in the matchup. His breakout catch in the second half came on a 42-yard touchdown reception that pushed the game within 12 points.

At the end of the day, Atlanta was able to contain Jacksonville through the air with the exception fo a few big yardage plays, but its something that the Falcons need to work on cleaning up going into the final game of the year next week.
