Houston Texans vs. Kansas City Chiefs: 5 Bold predictions for Divisional Round
4. Mahomes channels his MVP powers with 400 yards, 4 TDs
Despite the fact that Tyreek Hill was a little slowed as he returned from injury and even though Patrick Mahomes wasn’t perfect in the regular-season meeting between these two teams, the Chiefs star quarterback still ultimately had a big game. He finished the day going 19-of-35 for 273 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. Hill and Travis Kelce were big factors as they combined for nine catches for 138 yards as Hill had two touchdown grabs.

Kansas City has looked a better on offense down the stretch as Mahomes has had the chance to get healthier and get into form. The same goes for Hill as he’s been getting into form. Frankly, the Texans defense don’t have the secondary or linebackers to cover the Chiefs weapons nor the personnel to really get after Mahomes consistently.
Mahomes will rekindle his MVP-level form on Sunday and dice up the Texans with a monster four-touchdown, 400-yard showing.
3. Fuller returns, catches a 50+ yard touchdown
The effect that Will Fuller has on the Texans offense is almost hard to quantify in just a couple of words. But when you think of the weapons that really make Houston into a potent offensive team, the numbers pretty much tell you that it’s Deshaun Watson and Fuller who stir the drink for this team, as shocking as that may seem. But as Fuller is set to return, we’ll see his impact at least once.
Possibly the biggest way that Fuller impacts the Houston offense is the respect his speed and big-play ability demands from opposing defenses. He’ll put the Chiefs on notice at Arrowhead when he gets behind the defense and makes one of those game-breaking catches, going for more than half the length of the field for a long touchdown.
