3. Robby Anderson

Another question mark surrounding the Minnesota Vikings heading into the offseason prior to the start of the 2020 year comes at the wide receiver position. For the last few years, Minnesota has consisted of one of the top wide receiving groups led by Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen and that was once again the case in 2019 although Thielen specifically dealt with some injury issues during the regular season.

Going into this offseason, however, the Vikings might have to end up addressing the wide receiver position if they indeed decide to part ways and trade away Diggs, who is reportedly growing frustrated with his role in Minnesota.

If Diggs is moved this offseason, the Vikings could look to the free-agent market to add to the wide receiving group going into 2020. And one name that could be intriguing for Mike Zimmer and company is New York Jets wide receiver Robby Anderson.

Anderson is one of the more attractive young wide receivers on the market this offseason, as he started to blossom as a nice player during the 2019 season.

During the year, Anderson finished up his fourth season in the NFL and with the Jets, appearing in all 16 regular-season matchups for New York. The 26-year-old made another nice stride in his career during the year, finishing the season with 52 receptions and 779 yards receiving, also hauling in five touchdowns on the offensive end of the field.

As the season progressed, Anderson emerged as one of the top targets with the Jets offense, and he could see his role continue to expand in 2020 with either New York or another team.

Anderson has the ability to be a deep-ball threat, but can also hurt opposing defenses in the middle of the field as well. He likely wouldn’t be the cheapest option on the free agent market, which could make things difficult for the Vikings to land him, but if Minnesota moves on from Diggs, Anderson could be a nice piece to add to the mix alongside Thielen in 2020.
