4. Philadelphia Eagles

Of the many refrains we heard throughout the 2019 season, one was about the poor performance and injuries in the Philadelphia Eagles secondary. Ronald Darby was banged up for much of the year and played at a subpar level when he did suit up and the rest of the group suffered similar fates throughout the year. But now is the time for Philadelphia to address that.

The reason that the Eagles only come in at No. 4 on this list is simply that they seemingly have another target in NFL free agency in mind. Several reports have already connected Philadelphia and likely soon-to-be-former Cowboys cornerback Byron Jones. But if they’re unable to land him, then Harris would be a fantastic contingency plan, a player who undoubtedly would arrive and give the Eagles secondary a necessary jolt.

3. New York Jets

If we’re being honest, there weren’t many aspects of the New York Jets that didn’t leave a lot to be desired in the 2019 season. Whether it was abysmal offensive line play, no consistent receiving threats, a non-existent pass-rush, Le’Veon Bell struggling, Sam Darnold getting mono or the cornerbacks not covering well, things were problematic for the Jets. Chris Harris Jr., however, could alleviate some of those woes.

There is a chance that New York could have some trepidation about signing a veteran cornerback in NFL free agency. Part of their current predicament is due to the deal they signed Trumaine Johnson to, which has worked out disastrously in relation to what he’s being paid. However, that can’t stop them from trying to improve that unit which, based on his track record, Harris would be able to accomplish.
