5. Henry Ruggs III, WR, Alabama

This one might not seem to be the best pick since Dallas has Amari Cooper — one of the highest-paid wideouts in the game — and Michael Gallup on the roster already. Each of them topped 1,000-yards on the season and make up one of the better receiving duos in the NFL.

However, Dallas did lose Randall Cobb and he was no slouch for them in 2019. Cobb was a big part of their passing attack and finished his lone season in Big D with 55 catches for 828 yards and three touchdowns. Right now, there doesn’t seem to be anyone on the roster that can replace him.

Dallas did apparently sniff around Emmanuel Sanders but he got too much to play in New Orleans. Still, the fact they even considered a big-name player shows they truly value the No. 3 receiver position in this offense that Kellen Moore will be running.

With that being a point of emphasis, the Cowboys might have to seriously consider selecting Alabama receiver Henry Ruggs, should he be there at No. 17. Adding a player with 4.28 speed to an already explosive offense could make Dallas nearly impossible to stop.

Of course, it’s not very likely he will slide that far but crazier things have happened. Ruggs has become one of the bigger names in this draft class and Dallas should be considering him as a potential addition this season.
