4. Kenneth Murray, LB, Oklahoma

Kenneth Murray might just be the best defensive player in the 2020 NFL Draft that didn’t attend Ohio State. His speed sideline-to-sideline is unmatched as he can travel the width of the field faster than you can say “Boomer Sooner”. He’s always at the end of the play ready to make the stop thanks to his athletic ability and play recognition, a mental trait that also goes unmatched in this class.

One of Murray’s best traits is also his ability to drop into coverage against tight ends and running backs, harkening back to his athletic tools and football IQ again. That’s something the Broncos have lacked in recent years, which means he would be valuable on the defense.

He’s a sure tackler, which works in his favor but he still has work to do as a situational pass-rusher as he can be hesitant at times. Even still, Murray has a chance to be the second linebacker off the board and he’d be worth it for Denver at the No. 15 pick.

3. Henry Ruggs III, WR, Alabama

Henry Ruggs III is fast — extremely fast. The Alabama product ran a 4.27-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine (and was disappointed with his time). Every bit of that speed can be seen when he’s on the field. Ruggs would be that burner type of receiver that the Broncos have been wanting from a physical standpoint but he also has the ability to make any catch.

In 2019 for the Crimson Tide, Ruggs had 40 receptions for 746 yards and seven touchdowns, meaning he averaged 18.6 yards per catch. That not only highlights his ability as a deep threat but also as a playmaker after the catch. And though his production might seem timid, he was involved in one of the best college wide receiver corps we’ve ever seen.

Ruggs has tremendous versatility with the ability to line up outside or out of the slot and make plays. He fits seamlessly into Denver’s offense and could really open things up.
