3. Everson Griffen, EDGE

In the immediate aftermath of the Vikings and Everson Griffen cutting ties as the veteran defensive end voided the remainder of his contract, there was buzz that he could eventually re-sign with Minnesota. The more time that passes and the more the Vikings move this offseason, however, that seems less likely. And now a productive veteran is available and could very much help a defense in 2020.

Seattle almost makes too much sense for Griffen at this point. While they brought Bruce Irvin back to his roots, if they miss out on Clowney, this defensive line looks to be in bad shape as guys like L.J. Collier have yet to show much. Subsequently, adding a player of Griffen’s caliber on a short-term deal would be in their best interest.

Where he’ll sign: Seattle Seahawks

4. Jameis Winston, QB

We have to be in uncharted NFL free agency waters as three former No. 1 overall picks are not only on the market in the same year but are still available after the first wave. Yet, as Jameis Winston remains unsigned, that’s the case as he joins Clowney and Newton in that regard. However, Winston’s market at this point seems much more uncertain than the other two players.

Fresh off his 30-touchdown, 30-interception season, the first time in NFL history that’s ever happened, it seems as if the opportunities for Winston to be a starter in 2020 have dried up as he’s probably not the Patriots’ cup of tea. However, the Steelers would be wise to make a big upgrade behind Ben Roethlisberger and Winston is miles more talented than Mason Rudolph and Devlin Hodges, who had to start last season.
