Toughest games on Falcons schedule

3. Week 15 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

One of the toughest contests that will fill the Atlanta Falcons’ regular season in 2020 will come against the new-look Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the first time Atlanta will face Tom Brady and company.

In Week 15, although the game will be at home in Atlanta, the Falcons will kick off a tough stretch to end the regular season schedule starting with this game against the Buccaneers. After this Week 15 contest, Atlanta will end up hitting the road to play at the Kansas City Chiefs before wrapping up the year with a rematch against Tampa Bay on the road for the second game between the two squads in three weeks.

The tough thing about this game for the Falcons is that at this point in the year, we often see Brady enter playoff-mode while preparing the Buccaneers for what they hope will be a deep postseason run. Although Atlanta has the ability to put up points and counter Brady and company on the other side of the field, this game will be tough to pull out a victory regardless.

2. Week 4 at Green Bay Packers

Atlanta opens the season up with four tough games right out of the gate, wrapping up that four-game span with a matchup against Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers on the road.

The Falcons, who kick the year off playing the Seattle Seahawks, Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions before Week 4, will head to Lambeau Field in an always-tough task of taking down Rodgers and the Packers on their home field on Monday Night Football.

The good news for Atlanta in this game is that it likely won’t be as cold in Green Bay as it tends to be later on in the year, but the task of facing the Packers will still make for a tough game. Much like they deal with when taking on opponents within the NFC South division, going on the road in Green Bay is yet another hurdle the Falcons will have to face during the 2020 campaign.

1. Week 11 at New Orleans Saints

The toughest game that will likely take place for the Falcons this season comes against a team that they have struggled against to some extent in the past few years. That being taking on the New Orleans Saints on the road in Week 11.

Whenever the Saints and Falcons face off, the game is going to be a high-scoring affair with each squad featuring a potent offense and passing attack that results in points being put on the scoreboard early and often.

That will likely be the case once again when Atlanta travels to New Orleans in Week 11 to take on Drew Brees and company, but going into New Orleans and stealing a win on the road will be too tough of a task for the Falcons to try and gather, mainly because they still have some holes to fill on the defensive side of the ball that Brees and that passing game will likely take advantage of.

Whenever you play the Saints, it’s going to be a tough game. This will be no exception for Atlanta in the second half of the year.
