Fantasy Football Rankings: Big-name running backs to avoid in 2020
Todd Gurley, Atlanta Falcons
Current ADP: 4.07
Let’s be honest — Todd Gurley is not the same player that once made NFL defenders everywhere cringe at the thought of trying to take him down. Injuries have sapped his superpowers in recent years, turning him into a shell of his former self.

- Dallas Cowboys made the trade everyone else should have made
- Pittsburgh Steelers rookie sleeper everyone should be talking about
- Anthony Richardson putting jaw-dropping talent on display immediately
- Denver Broncos’ stud wide receiver might be out for a while
- Washington Commanders: Three takeaways from win over Ravens
Even with a new squad and an exceptional offensive line, Gurley is still too untrustworthy at this point in time to be worth drafting. Despite being only 26 years old, he’s been too fragile over the last season or so to pin your fantasy team’s hopes and dreams on.
Your better off swinging for a young up-and-comer in the later rounds than hoping for a Gurley resurrection — especially considering he’s currently coming off the board somewhere around the middle of the fourth round. That’s far too steep a price to pay for a running back who looked like someone had drained all of his HP last season.
If you’re looking for a late-round steal and Gurley is still available, maybe it’s worth the risk. If you’re anywhere near the top of the draft and he’s in your crosshairs, though, it’s best to slap yourself and take a good, hard look at your life.
