4. Saints defense will hold Josh Jacobs without a touchdown

Starting off with the defense as a whole, I predict that the Saints will keep Josh Jacobs out of the end-zone. Last week, Jacobs scored three times against the Panthers and fantasy managers rejoiced around the world. However, I don’t think the  New Orleans Saints will allow him to keep up the momentum.

More from NFL Spin Zone

Defensively, the New Orleans Saints have such a talented unit and I predict that they’ll keep Josh Jacobs out of the end zone. While Jacobs played splendidly last week, the Saints are stronger defensively than the Panthers. Last week, the Saints held Ronald Jones to only 66 yards and 0 touchdowns so they can make it happen. Jacobs is a talented guy but he might meet his match when he faces off against the Saints defensive front.

3. Marshon Lattimore will shut down Henry Ruggs III

Henry Ruggs III had a solid first game but Marshon Lattimore went up against Mike Evans and shut him down completely. Ruggs is going to be no match for Lattimore and he’ll be lucky if he finishes the game with more than two catches. Even if Lattimore doesn’t match up with Ruggs, he’s going to shut down whoever he’s up against.

Week 1 was huge for Marshon Lattimore and his growth as a player has been exponential during the 2020 offseason. Heading into Week 2, we’ll see if Lattimore’s lock-down game was just a fluke or if he’s on the path to becoming NFL Defensive Player of the Year. Either way, Lattimore is easily one of the Saints’ biggest threats on defense and will showcase that on Monday night.
