4. Houston Texans vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Houston Texans are in completely different positions coming into their Week 3 meeting. Houston has been dealt a rough hand to start the year, facing the Chiefs and Ravens in their first two matchups. Though they haven’t looked hopeless, they’ve looked a far step below two of the best teams in the league, even with Deshaun Watson at the helm.

As for the Steelers, their 2-0 start with the return of Ben Roethlisberger has been quite impressive. Yes, the quarterback hasn’t been at MVP form by any means but the Pittsburgh defense has looked like one of the best in the league to this point, dominant in both of their wins against the Giants and Broncos — even if the final score against Denver did get a bit close for comfort.

It will be fascinating to see the Steelers defense going up against the Texans. Houston will surely be hungry to get into the win column for the first time this year but they’ll be up against it when it comes to their offensive line holding up against the Pittsburgh pass rush.

Just as importantly, Pittsburgh’s quest for a strong 3-0 start will begin against a defense that has been torched by two of the best offenses in the league. Big Ben and the Steelers would love to come up big and prove they are back in business this season with a strong, consistent performance.

In any case, these two colliding narratives provide plenty of intrigue for the Week 3 contest.
