FanDuel NFL Week 6 Picks and Advice: Tight End

Tight end is particularly brutal this week with Darren Waller on bye and Travis Kelce and George Kittle not in the main slate. Therefore, Mark Andrews ($7,600) stands alone in the top tier and is a great play.

But if you are looking to save money there are still plenty of strong options. Jonnu Smith ($5,800) is the TE4 on the year despite being past his bye week and is easily the best value this week at the tight end position. If you want to go even cheaper T.J. Hockenson ($5,700) and Mike Gesicki ($5,600) are both playmakers with great matchups.

If you want to fully punt the position, Darren Fells ($5,100) and Irv Smith Jr. ($4,300) both have a good chance to find the end zone relative to their price but could just as easily put up a goose egg.

FanDuel NFL Week 6 Picks and Advice: D/ST

While I usually advocate for punting the defense, there are still times when paying up pays off, with Baltimore being an example of this last week. New England ($4,800) is a strong play against a Denver offense that may be without Melvin Gordon.

Any team playing against the Jets is a strong play, so Miami ($4,400) should be in your lineup. Finally, with the lowest over-under of the week at 43, New York ($3,900) against Washington is a fantastic cheap D/ST play.

FanDuel NFL Week 6 DFS Lineup

  • QB Ryan Fitzpatrick – $7,400
  • RB Derrick Henry – $9,000
  • RB James Robinson – $6,500
  • WR Calvin Ridley – $8,600
  • WR Kenny Golladay – $7,200
  • WR AJ Brown – $6,500
  • TE Darren Fells – $5,100
  • FLEX Ronald Jones II – $5,800
  • D/ST New York Giants – $3,900

This lineup gets you pieces in all the games that are projected to be high-scoring. It takes advantage of incredible values like A.J. Brown and James Robinson that allow you to then put in more expensive players like Derrick Henry and Ridley.

If you want to spend up on quarterback or tight end, considering removing one of these expensive players and upgrading the other position. For example, you could swap Fitzpatrick and Ridley for Lamar Jackson and Allen Robinson. Whatever you choose to do, best of luck on your FanDuel DFS endeavors!
