3. Odell Beckham Jr., WR, Cleveland Browns

This is one that’s been thrown up in the air for a few years now and 2020 might be the year it happens — when the Green Bay Packers acquire wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. from the Cleveland Browns.

This move would be a high-risk, high-reward deal that could either turn this average team (on paper) into Super Bowl champions. Or it could end up with Beckham finding little productivity even with Aaron Rodgers under center.

It’s become clear that OBJ’s time in Cleveland is coming to an end as his frustrations with the lack of targets in games and the direction the team is headed have reached a peak after the Browns’ brutal 38-7 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, a game that Baker Mayfield has received a year’s worth of criticism and hate for his ugly performance. In this matchup, Beckham was targeted just three times, catching two of them for 25 yards.

The Green Bay Packers are in dire need of finding another dynamic player in the passing game as the talent dropoff from Davante Adams to the next guy is significant, for lack of better words. Adding an elite route runner and yards after the catch threat like Odell Beckham Jr. would be an instant gamechanger for Titletown.

Not only would this move provide Rodgers with an elite pass-catcher but it would draw the attention away from Davante Adams and would allow him to get more open looks which would cause more problems than ever before for opposing teams.

Another bit of upside for Green Bay is that Beckham’s value is decreasing with each passing week as his team’s struggles continue and his role in their offense becomes smaller and smaller.
