3. Riley Reiff, OT

Since coming into the NFL, Riley Reiff has struggled with consistency while on the field for Minnesota, with health oftentimes another one of his fallbacks during his tenure in the league thus far.

Reiff is still a relatively young player, currently at 31 years old, and should have a few more years ahead of him yet in the NFL. The offensive lineman broke into the league in 2012 as a No. 23 pick by the Detroit Lions out of Iowa.

Reiff has been subject to trade rumors for a little over a year now and those rumors might heat up ahead of the Nov. 3 trade deadline in the league. The first reason that Minnesota might try and ship him off is due to him set to make around $11 million in 2021 before he would ultimately become a free agent in 2022.

Reiff’s services might also be desired by a few teams around the NFL, as the offensive line is always an area other teams are looking to improve in as the regular season progresses.

Ideally, the Vikings would like to get a mid-round draft pick either for the upcoming draft or at least in the next year or two. Minnesota will likely want to move on from Reiff at some point, considering the situation with salary cap on the team currently, so now might be the right time to do so.

The quality veteran lineman could be on the move, as his future in Minnesota is likely going to come to an end either during the year or during the offseason as the organization will look to turn to rookie lineman Ezra Cleveland at left tackle for the future.
