Green Bay Packers Week 7 Stud: Aaron Rodgers, QB

Perhaps one of the reasons why Aaron Rodgers was so angry about the Packers’ loss to Tampa was the simple fact that he had a hand in it. After playing at an MVP level through the first four games, he struggled mightily against the Bucs and his pick-six seemingly started a snowball rolling.

Never one to go unmotivated by a bad performance or slight, Rodgers looked out to prove something against Houston. And the result was eviscerating the Texans secondary as the future Hall-of-Fame quarterback went 23-of-34 for 283 yards and four touchdowns. Whatever he wanted to do, he was seemingly able to accomplish.

Rodgers returned to MVP-caliber form in Week 7, which is a welcome sight for fans in Green Bay. Chances are, the game against Tampa was more likely the anomaly rather than his start to the year.

Green Bay Packers Week 7 Stud: Davante Adams, WR

If anyone had a better day than Rodgers, it was his favorite target, wide receiver Davante Adams. Now back on the field and at full health, the talented pass-catcher is back out to showcase that he’s one of the best at his position in the entire league. This was a good way of broadcasting that information as he made mincemeat of the Houston defensive backs, burning whoever they matched up with him.

Adams was targeted 16 times on Sunday and hauled in 13 receptions for an unreal 196 yards and two touchdowns. And he wasn’t just getting a couple of big plays — his long of the day was 45 yards. He was consistently breaking off big chunks of yardage, both with getting open down the field and runs after the catch.

For one of the most dominant receivers in the league, Adams had a phenomenal performance against the Texans, even by his already high standards.
