It’s funny how different things can feel after just a week. In Week 9, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost their third game of the season but it was their second to the New Orleans Saints — who they lost to in Week 1. What made it worse was how poorly they played in the 38-3 loss. They had a shot to get back on track with the reeling Carolina Panthers and for the first 30 minutes, it seemed as though they could be in trouble again.

Carolina had an early lead and it took a touchdown pass from Tom Brady to Mike Evans with less than 30 seconds to go in the second quarter to tie it up at 17. Then in the second half, the Bucs came to life.

Brady led them on an opening-half drive that went 69 yards in 10 plays and ended with a field goal to take their first lead of the game. They then had a 98-yard touchdown run from Ronald Jones following a short possession from the Panthers. They scored another three points after intercepting a pass from Teddy Bridgewater, which happened to be the first play from scrimmage for Carolina following the long score by Jones.

Now, things don’t seem so bleak for the Bucs as they’re 7-3 and nearly dropped 50 points on the Panthers.
