player. 46. . AFC South. Indianapolis Colts. Indianapolis Colts. 2

The No. 1 and No. 2 options could be flip-flopped, but I put the Indianapolis Colts at No. 2 because they’re at least in playoff contention right now. The Colts were put into a major bind when former No. 1 overall pick Andrew Luck shocked the football world by retiring at the ripe age of 29.

Indy tried Jacoby Brissett at quarterback in 2019 and they’re doing what they can with Philip Rivers, but he’s very hit and miss. Rivers only signed a one-year deal with the Colts and he’ll be 39 years old when the regular season wraps up. This means unless Indy goes on an epic run in the playoffs and Rivers plays out of his freaking mind, the Colts are probably going to look in another direction at quarterback.

They need to draft someone, but they won’t have a high enough pick to find an immediate rookie starter for 2021. That means back to the free-agent well the Colts will go and if they go that route, Stafford is a good option for them to look into. Rivers has held Indy back in several games this season because of his lack of arm strength, which isn’t the case for Stafford.

With Stafford’s arm on offense and the Colts’ stingy defense, Indianapolis could be a legitimate threat in 2021. This would be a really good fit for both sides.
