Denver Broncos dream free agency target No. 4: Taylor Moton, OT

Much of the focus of what Denver did last offseason was about the weapons they added for Drew Lock with Jerry Jeudy and K.J. Hamler entering the fold via the draft. But the Broncos also addressed their offensive line, most notably adding Demar Dotson in free agency to address the hole left by Ja’Juan James opting out.

Yet, the O-line still struggled. Dotson was serviceable in his first year with the Broncos but he’s 35 years old. The future is also uncertain with James. That means Denver must address the offensive tackle problem sooner rather than later.

Taylor Moton has been an outright stud since coming out of Western Michigan. Though Corey Davis was the more highly touted prospect from the school in that draft class, the offensive tackle has been the better NFL players since being taken at the end of the second round. Moton didn’t start as a rookie but has been a quality asset since he took over in Carolina. He’s also improved with each year, delivering his best season yet in 2020.

This offseason will be Moton’s first time in free agency and he will likely command a big contract. PFF projects Moton’s contract to be five years long worth a total of $82.5 million with $45 million guaranteed.
