NFL Free Agency: Most improved units so far

2. Cleveland Browns Offense

The Cleveland Browns made a shocking deal when they traded for Pro Bowl quarterback Deshaun Watson, giving up three first-round picks in the process and giving Watson a massive extension.

Not only did they acquire Watson, but they managed to trade for Amari Cooper for a bag of chips and a five-dollar bill.

They also kept David Njoku and signed speedster Jakeem Grant.

The Browns’ offense went from a decent unit with a killer run game to an elite unit with an elite quarterback, decent offensive weapons, and a deadly offensive line.

I’m not going to comment on Watson’s off-the-field issues, but some of that stuff will never go away.

It’s an unfortunate situation, and by making the trade, the Browns don’t seem to be overly concerned with the situation.

On the field, there is no denying Watson’s talent, and the Browns now figure to be legitimate Super Bowl contenders after the trade.

It remains to be seen where they are shipping Baker Mayfield, though.
