Houston Texans: Myron Cunningham, OT, Arkansas

OT. Arkansas. OT. Myron Cunningham. player. 10. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

Over the past couple of seasons, the Houston Texans have gotten to work trying to shore up their offensive line. They brought in left tackle Laremy Tunsil in a trade with the Miami Dolphins and used a first-round pick in 2019 on Tytus Howard who has been starting on the right side.

However, Tunsil hasn’t been as good in Houston as he was in Miami and Howard has yet to really establish himself as a legit NFL starter. Behind them, they have Cedric Ogbuehi — a former first-round pick for the Seattle Seahawks who didn’t live up to expectations — and Charlie Heck — a fourth-round pick from 2020.

Further down the depth chart right now is undrafted rookie Myron Cunningham. A product of Arkansas, Cunningham looks the part of an NFL tackle at 6-foot-5 and 320-pounds. He was also a team captain for the Razorbacks, showing he’s someone who players rally around.

He also showed he can battle through adversity as he went from Western Illinois to Iowa Central Community College before heading to Arkansas.

The problem is, he needs a lot of work when it comes to his feet. He’s a work in progress — as all undrafted free agents are — but there’s plenty to like.

Most importantly, he landed on a team that needs bodies at the position, which will help him as he tries to make it at the next level.
