2022 NFL Top Head Coaching List No. 6: Matt LaFleur, Green Bay Packers

In three seasons as the head coach of the Green Bay Packers, Matt LaFleur boasts a record of 39-10 — and has won 13 games in each campaign. He sometimes doesn’t get the credit he deserves since Aaron Rodgers is his quarterback but this team has become one of the best defenses in the NFL since he arrived.

LaFleur does need to figure out how to get over the hump and make it to the Super Bowl, but he’s still one of the brightest young coaches in the game.

2022 NFL Top Head Coaching List No. 5: Mike Tomlin, Pittsburgh Steelers

When NFL teams need to hire a coach, they should probably try and get some input from the Pittsburgh Steelers. This team hires fewer coaches than anyone, and that’s because they always hit on them.

The last time they needed to make a hire was way back in 2007, which was when they added Mike Tomlin — who was just 35-years old at the time. Since then, the Steelers have not suffered even one losing season ‚— with the worst campaigns for Tomlin being 2012 and 2013 when the Steelers were 8-8 in each year.

Overall, he’s 154-85-2 and went 9-7-1 in 2021 despite having a diminished Ben Roethlisberger under center. Tomlin is still one of the best in the game and any team he coaches has a shot at winning it all.
