No. 2 – Los Angeles Rams

The defending Super Bowl champions are not going to have a Super Bowl hangover.

They’ve managed to give Matthew Stafford and Aaron Donald contract extensions and were able to pay both Allen Robinson and Bobby Wagner.

They also made a very underrated move in trading for Troy Hill, who formerly played for them.

The Rams are somehow even better on paper, even after losing Von Miller.

I think they’re a lock to appear in the NFC championship game again.  Sean McVay is already a Hall of Fame coach, and it’s clear how much they are committed to running it back again.

However, I think there’s another team that earns the top seed.

No. 1 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Buccaneers were almost dead in the water when Tom Brady decided to retire.  In a very unsurprising twist, he then unretired, putting the Bucs back on track.

They had a stellar offseason, stealing Shaq Mason from the New England Patriots, re-signing Chris Godwin, signing Russell Gage, signing Akiem Hicks, and re-signing Ryan Jensen.

They’re yet again equipped to make a deep playoff run.  I think they’re the most talented team in the NFC.  They’ve got good depth, the best QB in the league, and perhaps the best group of offensive skill players in the NFC.

Look for the Buccaneers to win at least 13 games this season.

And, on a side note, Tom Brady has been a Super Bowl winner in every even-numbered season since 2014.

He won Super Bowls with the Patriots in 2014, 2016, and 2018, and with the Bucs in 2020.

Well, we’re approaching the 2022 season, so the Bucs are going to win the Super Bowl.
