Three free agents to put Denver Broncos over the edge

2. JC Tretter, C

JC Tretter has been one of the better centers in the NFL since he entered the league with the Green Bay Packers.

He was recently playing for the Browns, but the Browns released him to save some money on their cap number.

Now a free agent, Tretter looks to find a team for 2022 or perhaps longer.  He’s never made a Pro Bowl, but he’s played in every game but one since 2017.

The current starting center on the Denver Broncos is Lloyd Cushenberry, a former third-round pick in 2020 who hasn’t been that good in his first two seasons.

He showed improvement from year one to year two but was still a bottom 10 center in 2021.

Denver could easily upgrade this position and bring some stability to their offensive line by signing Tretter, which would also give Russell Wilson one of the better offensive linemen he’s played with.

JC Tretter would make any team’s offensive line situation much better, and I would anticipate that he latches on with a team soon.
