Three free agents to put Denver Broncos over the edge

1. Jared Cook, TE

Jared Cook, a two-time Pro Bowler who has been in the league since 2009, would be an excellent addition for the Denver Broncos.

The Broncos had a very young and promising tight end on their roster in Noah Fant, but he was traded away in the package to acquire Russell Wilson.

Now, the team seems to be relying on third-year man Albert Okwuegbunam and rookie Greg Dulcich for their tight end production in 2022.

Being that the unit is still unproven, and the only other notable player is blocking tight end Eric Tomlinson, the team should consider signing Jared Cook.

Cook is a threat as a pass-catcher.  His 6’5″ frame has caught 20 touchdowns the past three seasons and has had at least 500 receiving yards every year since 2017.

His age shouldn’t scare anyone off from signing him, as his production has not taken a hit yet.  The Denver Broncos should be smart and give Russell Wilson yet another pass catcher for 2022.

Cook may also be able to serve as a bit of a mentor to the team’s two younger tight ends as well.
