Three breakout teams to monitor for the 2023 NFL season?

New York Jets

The last team that is going to break out in 2023 is the New York Jets.  Remember, at one point in 2022, this team was 7-4 and still firmly in the divisional race in the AFC East.  They climbed to that record in spite of their disastrous QB play.

Mike White and Zach Wilson are not legitimate answers at the position, and the Jets’ offensive staff has a ton of connections to QBs who are or could be available this offseason.

Todd Downing has connections to Ryan Tannehill and Derek Carr.

Robert Saleh has connections to Jimmy Garoppolo.

Nathaniel Hackett has connections to Aaron Rodgers.

The Jets will have a ton of homework to do if they want to explore acquiring one of these signal-callers, but any of them will greatly improve this team.  They have a stout defense and some dawgs on the offensive side of the ball.

This is also a pivotal offseason for GM Joe Douglas and Robert Saleh.  I think if they can’t win games in 2023, they’ll both be out of a job.
