3 almost unbelievable NFL stats or facts heading into Week 4 action

If you thought the first three weeks of the 2026 NFL season were a wild ride, buckle your seatbelts and get ready for Week 4.

Not only are there awesome matchups on the docket for this week, but when you zoom in or put the microscope on some of these matchups, there are some fascinating stats and factoids that might be hard to believe.

Even after just three games, we have to dive into some of these intriguing storylines because they could play a huge role in the overall outcome of what we are about to watch unfold in Week 4.

3. Derrick Henry is playing against the Titans...for the first time ever

This one might be the easiest one to believe, but Derrick Henry hasn't played for the Titans since 2023. This is already his third season with the Baltimore Ravens, but over the course of two seasons and change, this will be his first time playing against the team that drafted him all the way back in 2016.

Time really flies.

Not that the NFL plans it this way, because the schedule is not dependent on players changing teams, but it usually feels like when a notable player moves on from a team, there is some type of emotional story arc of that player having to face that team rather quickly.

That hasn't been the case for Derrick Henry. This will be his first time facing the Titans, but it will be on his new home turf in Baltimore.

2. Vikings avoiding the red zone

The Minnesota Vikings just did something they haven't done in nearly 20 years: Win a game without a single snap in the red zone.

Dating back to their Week 2 win against the Bears, they have only played two total snaps in the red zone, and one of those snaps was a field goal attempt.

The Vikings have more wins (2) over the last two weeks than they have red zone snaps (1) offensively. The fact that this team is 3-0 right now is a modern miracle. The offense is obviously benefiting from the way Brian Flores's defense has played, setting them up with short fields against the Packers, but they obviously have done their part to cash in from outside the red zone as well.

Still, going into their matchup against the Dolphins in Week 4, keep a close eye on how often the Vikings can get to or inside the 20.

1. Brock Purdy has not been sacked a single time in 2026

The San Francisco 49ers pitched a shutout against the Los Angeles Rams' pass rush in Week 1 that drew a ton of attention, and for good reason. Myles Garrett made his Rams debut in that game, and Los Angeles has plenty of other quality pass rushers besides just him.

Even though 49ers QB Brock Purdy faced some pressure, he wasn't sacked at all in that game, and that was notable. But since then, Purdy still hasn't been sacked. The 49ers have taken on the Dolphins and Cardinals over the last two weeks, but even though they've played three games this season overall, the equipment staff hasn't had to wash Purdy's jersey.

He's not getting taken down.

Purdy's offensive line has a lot to do with that, but he's also doing his part by escaping the pocket and creating plays with his legs. In fact, he might be doing the best job we've ever seen from him in the pocket presence category.

In Week 4, the 49ers welcome the Denver Broncos to town, and it's going to be another instance of an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object. The Broncos have led the NFL in sacks over the last two seasons and have set franchise records in that category.

If Purdy can escape this week without getting sacked, he deserves some kind of award.
