Denver Broncos (@ Los Angeles Chargers)
With how the Denver Broncos looked in Week 4, guaranteeing this team to win might be a mistake, but it's not a mistake to call the Los Angeles Chargers one of the very worst teams in football. The Broncos have played one of the toughest schedules in the league thus far, as their first four games have been against Kansas City, Jacksonville, the Los Angeles Rams, and San Francisco.
Getting to 2-2 is quite impressive. The Chargers have lost all four games this year, including losing to Arizona and Las Vegas to kickoff the 2026 season. Not only that, but the Chargers are banged up across the board and may not have Rashawn Slater or Joe Alt.
The interior offensive line was already the worst in football, and when you look at the Chargers 2026 season, it's clear that the only thing this team has done well is lose. The fit with Mike McDaniel and Justin Herbert could not be less seamless, and even the defense hasn't been the same.
The Broncos are the better, more talented team and should win this one. They've also been battle-tested, playing against four of the best teams in the sport to start the year. While this is a divisional game and could end up being close, the Broncos are doing more things well than the Chargers and are still among the better teams in the league.
The Chargers losing and dropping to 0-5 on the season could have us wondering if it would then be time to make some coaching changes, and the thing here is that I am not sure there is a legitimate avenue for this team to actually get better.
This feels like the type of bad that sticks throughout a season. Denver wins this by eight points.
