2. Aaron Glenn, New York Jets
Aaron Glenn comes in at No. 2 in our head coach hot seat power rankings. We're now in year two of the Glenn era, and in 21 games as the Jets head coach, the team has won four times.
Four.
They were 3-14 last year and are currently on pace to win four games this year. Simply put, Glenn might not be cut-out to be a head coach in this league. The roster is honestly greatly improved from last year, but it feels like some of the same issues continue to be present.
What is also important to note here is that the Jets have three first-round picks in the 2027 NFL Draft, and I am not sure General Manager Darren Mougey wants to risk a potential trio of rookie first-rounders with this coaching staff, especially if one of them is a quarterback.
Unless some type of rapid turnaround happens, Glenn could be shown the door before his second year is over. The Jets do have talent and aren't incompetent in that regard, but, typically, you can tell rather early on in a head coaches tenure if they have 'it' or not, and you've never really seen that develop with Glenn.
1. Todd Bowles, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are 2-11 across their last 13 regular season games dating back to the midway point of the 2025 season.
Two and eleven.
Not only was this team trending in the wrong direction heading into 2026, but now they're without Baker Mayfield, which could continue this winless streak. Todd Bowles already felt like someone on the hot seat before the season began, but now he doesn't have his starting QB and has virtually no chance at winning any more games as long as Mayfield is out.
While this might come off as unfair, this does give the front office an opportunity to move on from Bowles if the losing keeps up. It's probably long overdue at this point, as Bowles has never really established himself as a noteworthy head coach in this league, and he's losing a grip on his team right now.
