We saw half the NFC East in action during this primetime slate of football before the bulk of Week 13. The Dallas Cowboys took down the Kansas City Chiefs on Thanksgiving in an incredibly impressive win, and the Philadelphia Eagles fell to the Chicago Bears in embarrassing fashion on Black Friday.
As of now, it's not a guarantee that the Eagles are going to win the NFC East, as the Cowboys are just 1.5 games behind and have won three games in a row, trending in the right direction overall. Philly cannot say the same thing.
Let's power rank the NFC East as the bulk of Week 13 action continues. Do the Eagles have the top spot?
Cowboys are the top team in the NFC East in latest power rankings
4. New York Giants
The New York Giants might actually have something special brewing with Jaxson Dart, who has exploded onto the scene as a rookie and simply seems to have that 'it' about him. Whether you care for the Giants or not, you have to admit that Dart has the goods, as some might say.
The Giants have to nail this next coaching staff, but there is a now a little bit to like about this team.
3. Washington Commanders
The Washington Commanders came within just one game of the Super Bowl in 2024, but this team is now firmly out of the playoffs this year. If the New York Giants weren't in this division, Washington would be last. The roster is just old, banged-up, and not all that good, and the QB, Jayden Daniels, has missed a good bit of time this year.
2. Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles drop to the no. 2 spot in our NFC East power rankings, as the defense got absolutely gutted in Week 13, and the offense has been stuck in first gear for weeks now. Nothing is working on that side of the ball, and they do not have the caliber of QB in Jalen Hurts to cover up for the issues - he is one of the primary issues.
There is no shot the Eagles win a playoff game this year.
1. Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys have won three games in a row and are the best, most balanced team in the divison right now, so they are the top team in our NFC East power rankings. The Cowboys added Quinnen Williams and Logan Wilson at the NFL trade deadine, and those additions have surely helped.
Dak Prescott is also playing out of his mind this year and is clearly one of the top QBs in the NFL this year. Dallas still has a ton of work to do, but they are in a position to stack more wins and capture this division title. They also did beat the Eagles a couple of weeks ago, which was a must-win game for them.
