We power rank the best teams in the NFL, but what about the worst? There are some downright atrocious teams this year, and even with the amount of parity this league has, the worst of the worst are evident and years away from competing.
We've decided to power rank the eight worst teams in the league, with the no. 1 team being the worst of the worst. For the most part, bad quarterback play and coaching are the driving factors in teams being bad, or teams being good like we've seen with the Patriots, Rams, Broncos, and other teams this year.
Let's get into our 'worst of the worst' NFL power rankings.
Power ranking the worst teams in the NFL following Week 13
8. Arizona Cardinals
The Arizona Cardinals were once 2-0, but they have since cratered and are likely moving on from Kyler Murray in some capacity this offseason. The Cardinals were 6-4 at one point in 2024 and did have some encouraging signs for 2025, but things have just totally bottomed out.
7. New York Jets
The New York Jets are rebuilding, as they traded Sauce Gardner and Quinnen WIlliams at the deadline. This team's best QB is also Tyrod Taylor, and that is simply inexcusable in 2025. The Jets need a little bit of everything to get back on track.
6. Minnesota Vikings
The Minnesota Vikings have done a total 180 from their breakout 2024 season with Sam Darnold at QB, and it's clear that this team has major regrets letting Darnold depart in free agency. JJ McCarthy has been horrendous this year, and undrafted rookie Max Brosmer played about as well as you'd expect in Week 13.
5. Cleveland Browns
The Cleveland Browns will likely see Myles Garrett break the single-season sack record, and that could be the one bright spot in an otherwise lost season. If nothing else, the defense is ready-made for the next regime if the Browns move on.
4. New York Giants
The New York Giants might have something of note in Jaxson Dart, but the team is atrociously bad, and I would not be shocked if it ended up being a total reset in the front office as well.
3. New Orleans Saints
Shockingly, rookie QB Tyler Shough has actually looked good given the situation he is in, but the New Orleans Saints are multiple strong offseasons away from competing for anything, so let's not pretend that this team isn't a disaster.
2. Las Vegas Raiders
Given the major change that the Las Vegas Raiders brought forth this past offseason, the disappointment is that much greater. Geno Smith has been horrendous, and Pete Carroll is in way over his head. The Raiders are a dumpster fire, and things have only gotten worse.
1. Tennessee Titans
The Tennessee Titans might honestly been one of the ten worst teams of the 21st century. Everything about this year has been a disaster, but Cam Ward has occasionally made some big-boy throws, so that could be a sign of things to come.
