There are some coaches across the NFL currently on the hot seat. Let's power rank them as Week 6 continues. With the New York Giants going 2-1 in their last three games, you get the sense that Brian Daboll's seat is getting a bit cooler for the time being.
The Giants likely have to finish around .500 in Jaxson Dart's starts for Daboll to get into 2026, but even with him not on this list after a huge win, there are some other coaches who are absolutely seeing their seats warm up.
Whether it's losing streaks, not being able to win a game yet, total dysfunction, or a little bit of everything, we've outlined our head coach hot seat power rankings as Week 6 continues, using the first five weeks as a primary barometer for these rankings, but also looking at the what have you done for me lately side of things. Let's get started.
Updated head coach hot seat power rankings approaching Week 6
5. Aaron Glenn, New York Jets
Aaron Glenn and the New York Jets are the lone winless team in the NFL, so even if he's a first-year head coach, he still belongs on the hot seat. With how much parity there is in today's NFL, it's actually kind of pathetic that Glenn's Jets don't have a win yet.
The defense is in shambles, and the offense is only good for racking up garbage time statistics. Sure, Justin Fields isn't helping things, but we've seen first year head coaches find instant success recently, so Aaron Glenn has to be doing a ton wrong here. He is no. 5 in our power rankings.
4. Kevin Stefanski, Cleveland Browns
Dillon Gabriel's first career start was quite encouraging, but that doesn't really change the big picture, as Kevin Stefanski is doing what he can with what he's been provided, but it hasn't been pretty. I just get the sense that the Browns are going to want a fresh start at some point unless something turns around.
I've never fully blamed Stefanski, as the Browns' front office has made a ton of egregious errors, but after some strong years here and there, Cleveland might be headed in a different direction soon.
