The 2026 NFL season is officially a third of the way through, and we have seen no fewer than 11 records and historic moments happen already. Suffice it to say, this season has left its impact on the history books. However, it keeps rolling on, meaning we have another monumental week ahead of us to discuss.

So, what is at stake in Week 7? Well, it is going to be less than the 10 from last week due to a bye week and some injuries keeping players away from the history books for the time being, but there are still seven moments to discuss today. For the first time in what feels like all season, there is not a hint of history to be made on Thursday Night Football, but for the first time since Week 3, there is another lock this week.

First, a toast to the player who moved his way up the history books last weekend. Keenan Allen moved past both Anquan Boldin and Terrell Owens, as the wide receiver hauled in 11 passes, putting the Indianapolis Colts pass catcher in ninth place on the all-time receptions list. Let us jump into what is on the line this weekend.

The historic moments and records that could be broken in Week 7

7. Atlanta Falcons receiving touchdowns by a running back record

Waiting for Bijan Robinson to score another receiving touchdown feels like it is slowly becoming a new pastime for this series. The running back is still a pair of touchdown receptions away from passing the dynamic pairing of Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman, who both have 12 such scores to their respective careers. The good news for Robinson is that his Atlanta Falcons finally relied on the passing attack last weekend as the team was down big in the second half.

However, the superstar running back was barely featured in that aerial assault, going for -8 receiving yards on the day and only hauling in a pair of receptions. While each game has a different plan depending on how things go, the fact that the passing game was prevalent last week bodes well for some progression for Robinson. This week could be much of the same as Atlanta goes up against the undefeated San Francisco 49ers, who allowed a receiving touchdown to Rachaad White on Monday night.
