238th Overall Pick - Drake Nugent, OC, Michigan

The third pick along the offensive line for the Houston Texans, Drake Nugent played at Michigan and for one of the best offensive lines in the nation. If nothing else, perhaps Nugent can eventually be a competent iOL backup for them. According to ESPN's depth chart, the Texans starter at center is Juice Scruggs.

247th Overall Pick - Carter Bradley, QB, South Alabama

Carter Bradley threw 47 touchdowns in two years at South Alabama and could be a fun dart-throw for the Houston Texans as a potential backup QB to CJ Stroud. One underrated advantage I think teams should pursue more is marrying the QB1 and QB2 for the long-term. Far too often do teams cycle through backup QBs. I get it, but the backup QB is an incredibly important position on the roster.

With a heavy prioritization on the trenches, the Houston Texans are surely going to cement themselves as Super Bowl contenders in 2024 with this strong haul.
