It wasn't that long ago that Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. was being considered a no-doubt superstar as a prospect coming out of Ohio State.
Not only has Harrison not lived up to the pre-draft billing, but he's trending more toward being a bust every single week. His effort is being called into question, and so is his future with the Cardinals. Executives around the NFL are apparently wondering how much longer Harrison will be in Arizona as the Cardinals are in the midst of creating culture, and might be looking to get whatever value they can out of him.
If the former 4th overall pick is on the move, what NFL teams could truly revive his potential?
Top trade destinations for Marvin Harrison Jr. if Cardinals move on in 2026
1. Houston Texans
At Ohio State, Harrison was the #1 target for quarterback CJ Stroud during Stroud's last season with the Buckeyes. A reunion in Houston could make a lot of sense.
The Texans have already been dealing with injuries at the wide receiver position this season with Nico Collins missing Week 2 due to a hamstring injury, and possibly more time. Tank Dell has also been recovering from a knee injury suffered during the 2024 season. Jayden Higgins is out for the year with an ACL injury.
The Texans need some help at receiver, and Harrison reuniting with CJ Stroud could be a win-win situation.
2. Las Vegas Raiders
The Las Vegas Raiders have already been playing well above expectations so far this season, and that includes the wide receiver position.
Through the first two games in 2026, all of Tre Tucker, Jack Bech, and Cody White have touchdown catches. Without Brock Bowers to impact the lineup (yet), those guys have found ways to step up for Kirk Cousins.
But is that really the receiver corps you want to build around? The Raiders are in a great position to take on the risk/reward proposition of a player like Harrison. They have a great offensive play-caller in Klint Kubiak, they are basically playing with house money this season, and they have a franchise QB in waiting who would love to have a go-to target at receiver like Harrison.
Assuming his star potential can be resurrected, of course.
3. Indianapolis Colts
This would be equal parts hilarious and poetic.
Of course, Marvin Harrison Jr.'s dad once played for the Indianapolis Colts. And he didn't just play for them -- he was a franchise legend.
The possibility of the Colts trading for Harrison is intriguing. Alec Pierce went down with an injury in a Week 2 loss against the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Colts are going to need better help than Keenan Allen at the receiver position this season.
Shane Steichen has proven that his offense can be really beneficial to the weapons he has at his disposal, so this could be a great situation for a legacy player to live up to his namesake.
