Chicago Bears: 3 Standouts from Week 2 vs. Seahawks
Allen Robinson building rapport with Trubisky
The Chicago Bears needed a No. 1 receiver to lead the wide receiver corps. They went out and signed Allen Robinson to be that top guy. Well, after two games this season, he’s showing that he’s that No. 1 guy.

In the opening game, Robinson had only fur catches. He had a mission to grab Trubisky’s attention in Week 2. He caught 10 passes against the Seahawks. He ended up with just 83 yards on all those catches, but you can see the duo’s rapport building. The second-year quarterback is feeling more comfortable throwing to Robinson.
Also, Trubisky has some trouble throwing deep so that hurt the yardage numbers. With Trubisky struggling throwing deep, head coach Matt Nagy had him throw short and intermediate passes to play it safe.
Going on, having Robinson and Trubisky on the same page is something that will result in bigger chunks of yards to go along with more touchdowns (he has yet to find the end zone this season).
The bigger results could come next week, as the Bears face an Arizona Cardinals defense that is struggling. They rank 25th in passing yards allowed and 31st in average yards allowed per attempt. The Cards also struggle against the run, ranking 27th in rushing yards allowed and 30th in rushing touchdowns allowed. With Jordan Howard again off to a good start, if Arizona tries to focus on Howard, Robinson could have a big day.
It’s good to see these two players build a rapport. It’ll bode well for the rest of the season.
