Dan Quinn – Atlanta Falcons

For the Falcons, the 2018 season was nothing more than a gigantic disappointment. Atlanta finished the year with a 7-9 record and failed to qualify for the playoffs for the second time in four seasons with Quinn as their head coach.

It wasn’t that long ago that the Falcons and their current head coach were playing in the Super Bowl and challenging the New England Patriots for a Vince Lombardi Trophy. But that was in 2016 and after this season’s failure for Atlanta, that successful run seems like a very, very long time ago.

Hired for his defensive background, it was the Falcons’ defense that failed them in 2018. Atlanta gave up the eighth-most points in the NFL this season, including six instances in which they allowed their opponents to finish with at least 30 points in a matchup.

In an effort to get the Falcons back to the postseason in 2019, Quinn recently made some big moves with his coaching staff that included firing his offensive and defensive coordinators. The Atlanta head coach has also decided to take over control of the defense for next season.

Quinn might have guided the Falcons to a Super Bowl appearance in 2016, but he could be on his way out the door if Atlanta fails to make the playoffs again next season.
