5. Los Angeles Rams

No, the Los Angeles Rams would never consider the thought of replacing Jared Goff with Keenum since that would be absolutely ridiculous, as the only reason to consider this scenario would be if the NFC champions wanted to bring him on as a backup quarterback.

More from NFL Spin Zone

At the moment, Sean Mannion is the No. 2 man behind Goff on offense, and while he’s certainly displayed potential at times over the years, the verdict is still out there over how he would actually look in a meaningful game.

Too many teams have learned the hard ways over the years just how important it is to have a backup quarterback to rely on, and while a reunion with his former team may not be Keenum’s preference, at least this would put him in a winning culture.

Keenum was in a tough position a few years ago as a member of the Rams since he knew it was only a matter of time before Goff took over the starting job under center, but also returning as a backup would be an upgrade over Mannion.

Plus, unlike last season with the Broncos, Keenum wouldn’t be facing as much pressure to succeed since he would only be used in the worst possible scenario if Goff were to suffer some sort of injury.
