5. New England Patriots

This is clearly the best football team of the past 20 years and it’s an easy argument to make that the current team is the greatest dynasty of all time. Their latest Super Bowl win gave them six, which ties them with the Pittsburgh Steelers for the most all time.

That also puts them one win ahead of both the San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys. However, all those teams won their big games over a long stretch of time. They also did so with different coaches, quarterbacks, front offices, etc. Not New England. They won all six with Robert Kraft as the owner of the team, Bill Belichick as the head coach, and Tom Brady playing quarterback.

While all of this is true, they have done so with some subpar uniforms. Sure, the die-hard Pats fans will argue that their look is good and that’s who really matters, but the fact is their style just doesn’t match their play. If they’re the best in the NFL, shouldn’t they look it?

Of course, I could be guilty of some nostalgia considering my opinion of the best uniform for them is the throwback that features Pat Patriot preparing to spike the ball. That uniform just seemed so much better and is more becoming of such a good team. It’s also hard to find a fan — Pats fan or not — that didn’t love the way this team looked before the NFL added a rule that limited the helmets which allowed Brady and the boys to trot out in the old school look twice per year.

Bottom line is, the Patriots are in need of a new look and whatever they do, they need their helmet to be white so this look is at least an option.
