4. Zeke posts fourth-straight 100-yard rushing game

Because he hasn’t been finding the end zone an inordinate amount, you might not realize just how red hot Ezekiel Elliott has been for the Dallas Cowboys over the last few weeks. In the disappointing loss to the Jets, Zeke still posted 105 yards and a touchdown on the ground while adding 48 receiving yards as well.

More from NFL Spin Zone

In Week 7 against the Eagles, Elliott was a dominant force for the Cowboys, rushing for 111 yards on 22 carries and finding the end zone. He also had a solid six catches for 36 yards in that game as well. Then, last week in the rout of the Giants, Zeke went off as he rushed for 139 yards on 23 carries, though he didn’t score a touchdown and was not involved at all in the passing game.

What we’re likely seeing is Elliott finally hitting his stride after a slow start, likely due to him missing the entire preseason and training camp amidst his contract holdout. And with a healthy Cowboys offensive line in front of him, that makes for a dangerous combination. That’s especially true when you look at the Vikings run defense as of late.

Two weeks ago, Minnesota allowed Washington to average 5.3 yards per carry. Last week against the Chiefs, Kansas City averaged 8.2 yards per carry, including allowing Damien Williams to break off a 91-yard touchdown run against them. Count on Ezekiel Elliott continuing that trend with a huge rushing day, topping 150 yards and finding his way across the goal line at least once.
