Winner: Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens were 14-2 last season and seemed to be invincible at times. The offense was a juggernaut behind quarterback and league MVP Lamar Jackson. In this year’s draft, the Ravens added more explosive weapons for Jackson and some potentially explosive playmakers to a defense that struggled up the middle during the playoff game loss to the Tennessee Titans.

The Ravens primarily took advantage of players who fit their system and manage to fall into their laps. They had J.K. Dobbins drop to them in the second round and he fits perfectly as Mark Ingram‘s eventual successor and can fill in nicely if Ingram needs plays off or misses time due to injury.

Devin Duvernay can fly on the field and will fit in nicely in this offense when Jackson is scrambling to keep plays alive. He also has shown the ability to potentially turn into a safety net receiver as well. Guards Tyre Phillips and Ben Bredeson are not overly flashy but they fit the team’s power running style and can eventually help ease the loss of the recently retired Marshal Yanda.

On defense, the Ravens added Patrick Queen and he has the potential to turn into a sideline-to-sideline nightmare for opposing offenses. They also added Malik Harrison and he will help to give them the downhill run-stuffing linebacker they were missing last season.

Baltimore also added two defensive tackles in Justin Madubuike who could factor into their rotation this season with quickness and Broderick Washington who could be a future factor into their rush defense.
