2020 NFL Draft: Every team’s best pick – Joe Burrow, Chase Young and who else?

Value-wise, there’s a good chance that Josh Jones could end up taking the honors for the Arizona Cardinals since the Houston star should be able to provide Kyler Murray the necessary protection for years to come.

- Dallas Cowboys made the trade everyone else should have made
- Pittsburgh Steelers rookie sleeper everyone should be talking about
- Anthony Richardson putting jaw-dropping talent on display immediately
- Denver Broncos’ stud wide receiver might be out for a while
- Washington Commanders: Three takeaways from win over Ravens
But as far as the best pick is concerned, it’s going to be difficult to top the excitement surrounding Isaiah Simmons after watching the Clemson star emerge as a top linebacker from this year’s draft class after playing safety for the first three years with the Tigers.
If Arizona didn’t previously pull off a trade to bring DeAndre Hopkins on board from the Houston Texans, it would have been tempting to go with a wide receiver early on in the first round.
Now that Simmons is officially on board, the Cardinals are in great position to see their defense receive a much-needed boost and should see Simmons contribute in a big way right off the bat as a rookie.
The fact that Simmons was able to establish a reputation as one of the top linebackers in this year’s draft class after only making the switch last season shows just how special of a defender he is, and why Arizona most likely didn’t hesitate to make the pick.
