New York Giants standout No. 4: Wayne Gallman, RB

Wayne Gallman became Jerome Bettis for a day. The tall runner showcased a red-zone power back as he powered his way to two touchdowns. In short-yardage situations, Gallman delivered for his team. He picked up gritty, tough yards and regularly took the ball into contact. The Eagles pride themselves on physicality up front and Gallman met this physicality and beat them.

Having a back that can do this role is invaluable for New York. The offense will face short-yardage situations and Gallman adapted and was able to grind his way through. On 18 carries, he only got 53 yards but he was often only asked to pick up a yard or two. Gallman did that and, with him playing the power back role, it allowed Jones to become a runner in his own right as the defense was looking for Gallman in the heart of the defense.

New York Giants standout No. 3: Jabrill Peppers, S

Jabrill Peppers was everywhere against the Eagles. The robust safety flashed on the screen every time the New York Giants were on defense. The safety showed outstanding skill when he played in the secondary or when he lined up in the box. Peppers posted seven tackles, a sack, two tackles for loss and a quarterback hit. He was at his destructive best in this game and was the best player on defense.

With Peppers playing this well, it is no surprise that the Giants defense played well. Peppers brought insane physicality and aggression in everything he did. He tackled hard, he chased well and he always ensured he was able to affect the play. It was an all-around defensive performance from the Michigan man.
